My appliance does not have any power.

Check the plug and circuit breaker to make sure there is a source of power. If possible, plug the appliance into another outlet that you know is working / has a source of power.

My refrigerator is making noise.

If the noise is on the outside of the refrigerator, check to see if there is an obstruction at the back of the unit where the fan is located.

If the noise is on the inside of the refrigerator, look for an obstruction at the back of the freezer.

My washing machine makes a banging noise while in the spin cycle.

Many times this happens when the clothes in the washing machine become unbalanced. Stop the machine, let the inner basket stop spinning and then move the clothes about so that the load of wash is balanced around the basket.

My clothes are taking a long time to dry.

Dryers that are running efficiently take about 25 minutes to dry an average-sized load of wash. Towels and blue jeans do require more drying time. When lint builds up, the dryer is designed to reduce the temperature inside the basket to prevent a fire from occurring. As a result, the clothes take longer to dry than 25 minutes.
